The window faces north and so does not get a lot of sun in the winter but also in the summer (shaded by trees). The window is currently a 54”x36” double slider (along a 12’ wall) and we were planning to change to either a 72”圆0” (24” off the floor) double casement or a 72”圆6” (18” off the floor) 45 degree bay window to maximize the view as well as get more light and also to match the width of the window below (see attached photo). This is on the 2nd floor above a walkout basement (so 2 storeys above ground level) and looks out of the rear of the house onto a wooded trail, so there are no neighbors at the back.
